I realized when I wrote the last post I hadn’t told you about our monkey visitors. That papaya tree in the backyard is paying off in animals.

There is a lot of noise coming from the rainforest. As Californians, we aren’t good at identifying these noises. We usually assume it’s a bird. After each good rain, you can hear the frogs having a great time.

On Monday, we learned what monkeys sound like. A group of three Geoffrey’s Tamarin monkeys were in our backyard. We saw them moving through the trees visiting our Papaya tree snack bar.

They were smaller than I expected. Two weren’t coming anywhere near us, but one was very curious about us and really wanted that papaya.
